The Informative Leaflet of the Queer Cyprus Association on Solidarity Line now available ‘online’

LGBTI+ in Freedom from Exploitation LIFE Project, which is funded by the European Union under the “Together Against Trafficking in Human Beings” Grant Scheme and implemented by Queer Cyprus Association in cooperation with KAOS-GL, is making its informative leaflet on “Solidarity Line” more accessible by publishing it online on the association’s website.

The Life Project, whose slogan is “for Cyprus where Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and beyond (LGBTI+) will be free from exploitation”, aims to contribute to the struggle of LGBTI+s who are trafficked in the northern part of Cyprus. The Project started in May 2019 and is about to complete its first two years. The Project started in May 2019 and is about to complete its first two years. Within the scope of the project, it is planned to publish 3 different informative leaflets on “Sexually Transmitted Infections”, “Solidarity Line” and “HIV & AIDS” and a handbook on “Sex Work” have been published. In the wake of Covid-19, the Queer Cyprus association is now making these publications available `online` on our website.  In this context, firstly, the informative leaflet on Solidarity Line, which has been run by the Queer Cyprus Association since 2017, has been published on our website.

The Solidarity Line aims to answer questions of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and pluses (LGBTI+s) and their relatives regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as questions in areas such as education, working life, family, housing, health, coming out, sexual health, “military service”. The informative leaflet gives information about the history of the solidarity line, in which areas you will find answers to your questions and the guidance provided. The informative leaflet provides information about the working principles, service conditions and the privacy principles of the solidarity line. In addition, you can find detailed information about psychosocial, legal and social service services provided free of charge within the scope of LGBTI + In Freedom from Exploitation (Life) and Diversity of Colours Projects which are funded by the European Union and implemented by the Queer Cyprus Association.
